Hazardous materials are those chemicals or substances defined in the Fire Code as possessing physical and/or health hazards. The Fire Code regulates hazardous materials when stored, dispensed, used, or handled.
We will review the Safety Data Sheet of each product stored or in use to determine the hazard classification.
We determine the maximum quantities you may store or use given your unique protection scheme and options available to your building per the Building and Fire Code.
The fire code official of the authority having jurisdiction may require a Hazardous Materials Management Plan (HMMP) or Hazardous Materials Inventory Statement (HMIS).
