Commodity Classification
Commodity Classification
At project kick-off, you and your team will fill out our commodity questionnaire for us to better understand the scope of your products.
This important information includes the type and quantity of material (paper, textiles, wood, plastics, metal, etc.) and the primary packaging.
Utilizing the information you provide, we will classify the commodities as Class I, II, III, IV, or High Hazard.
Common examples of commodities in the High Hazard category are products presenting special fire hazards beyond those of Class I, II, III, or IV. Rubber tires, Group A plastics, flammable liquids, idle pallets, and other similar commodities are included in this class.
